The Health Care field continues to expand with many employment opportunities. You could earn your Certified Nursing Assistant or your Personal Care Attendant in one semester or less!
Health Education programs consist of diverse experiences with lecture/theory applications, laboratory skill practice, and a clinical practicum.
Each course is designed to prepare students for state or national certification. Clinical practicum hours differ according to the program. Clinical components take place in a health care facility and occur in a consecutive fashion.
UNM offers a variety of health care programs each semester to meet your busy schedule.
ADN Nursing Classes starting in Fall 2010. More information about the program will be posted as it becomes available. Students are encourage to follow the prerequisites for the UNM-Main BSN Program until further notice.
The Nursing program/classes will be a one year program. The first class is expected to start in the Fall of 2010 and have 12 students. Please continue to check this website for future information.
The nursing program is now located on the first floor of the Student Community Center, west of the Bookstore & Wellness Center.
